Codes Amendment Subcommittee
Overview
Established pursuant to section 29-251-7b Opens in a new window of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies, the Code Amendment Subcommittee (a subcommittee of the Codes and Standards Committee) works with staff from the offices of the State Building Inspector and State Fire Marshal in the adoption of state building and fire safety codes.
The subcommittee considers proposals from the construction industry and the public for changes in the code. Meetings are scheduled at the call of the subcommittee chair and usually coordinate with the dates of the Codes and Standards Committee meetings and are posted on the Secretary of the State’s website Opens in a new window.
The meetings of the Codes and Standards Sub Committee are currently being held online using Microsoft Teams.
