Experience history on the nation’s oldest operational ferry
The Rocky Hill - Glastonbury Ferry is the oldest continuously operational ferry in the United States. The original ferry dates back to 1655, crossing the Connecticut River between Rocky Hill and Glastonbury.
The ferry serves local motorists, cyclists, and tourists, and provides great value as a historic resource.
Ferry schedule
Weather conditions, water levels, or mechanical issues can sometimes impact the operation of the ferry. If the ferry is closed for any reason during the regular operating season, it will be listed on our real-time travel information website CTroads.

Ferry tickets and fees
Tickets may be purchased onboard ferries or through Token Transit. Cash or check accepted, exact change preferred. Please note: If using Token Transit, tickets are valid for verification for 10 minutes, so only activate just before boarding the vessel.

$5.00 per vehicle (Weekdays)
$6.00 per vehicle (Weekends)
$60.00 for a book of 20 crossings($3.00/crossing).

$2.00 for pedestrians and bicyclists
