Field Collection
The Photolog Field Team makes use of our Two FUGRO 9000 Series Automatic Road Analyzer (ARAN) Vans and on-board highly complex and specialized systems to perform the annual collection of pavement condition, geometric and imagery data along the State and Local road networks, ramps, HOV Lanes, and CTFastrak System. These collected data elements include: pavement IRI, rutting, cracking and faulting data, curve, grade and high resolution ROW imagery data. Additionally the Field Team is responsible for the collection of pavement condition data for verification of smoothness specification on various identified Department pavement projects as required by contract and the Pavement Management Section. In addition to the collection efforts, the Field Team has responsibility for maintaining the collection vehicles and on-board technology and performing annual, monthly and weekly calibration verification runs to insure collection of the highest quality of data.
