The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that Fort Point Street will be closed between Van Zant Street and Fort Point Street for construction activities related to railroad bridge improvements in Norwalk from Monday, December 16 to Friday, December 20, 2024 from the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 5 in New Haven.

Fort Point Street will be closed between Van Zant and Fort Point Street from 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., Monday, December 16 to Friday, December 20, 2024. Northbound traffic will be detoured east to Van Zant Street, Cemetery Street, Gregory Boulevard and East Avenue; southbound traffic will be detoured east on to Fort Point Street and East Avenue. Truck traffic will be directed to follow an alternating one-way traffic pattern under the bridge.
