The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct a virtual public information meeting concerning the replacement of bridge #06956 carrying Country Village Lane over unnamed brook in Clinton on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
The virtual public information meeting is being held to provide the public and local community the opportunity to offer comments or ask questions regarding the proposed project. The meeting will take place on Zoom, and registration is required. A question and answer (Q&A) session will immediately follow the presentation, which will be recorded. For instructions on accessing the meeting and ways to provide comments and ask questions, please visit http://portal.ct.gov/DOTClinton27-129.
"The purpose of this project is to address the structural deficiencies of the existing bridge by replacing the existing arch pipe culverts with a concrete box culvert," said Marc Byrnes, Project Manager at the Connecticut Department of Transportation. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
Right-of-way impacts are anticipated to accommodate the new structure and to facilitate temporary utility relocations during construction.
Construction is expected to begin spring 2028. The estimated construction cost is $2.5 million, with 100% federal funds.
