The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing bridge repair work will be performed on I-84 requiring the temporary closure eastbound Exit 52 in Hartford. This project is scheduled to occur the night of Friday, March 21, 2025, and be completed on Monday, March 24, 2025. This project ensures the bridge remains in a state of good repair.
This project is being performed by Rafferty Fine Grading & Hartford Bridge Maintenance.

I-84 eastbound at Exit 52 (I-84 east to I-91 southbound) will be closed Friday March 21, 2025, and will be reopened Monday, March 24, 2025. Additionally, the U.S. 44 (Morgan Street) ramp to I-91 south to New Haven will be closed as well. The scheduled work hours for this project are 8:00 p.m. Friday night through 5:00 a.m. Monday morning. Traffic control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone and detour.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
