The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a pavement preservation project on Route 15 north and southbound in in Orange, Woodbridge, New Haven, Darien, and Norwalk. This project is scheduled to start Monday, September 16 to Wednesday, September 18, 2024 .This project consists of placement of emulsified asphalt fog seal in the shoulders on Route 15 north and southbound between Exit 56 and Exit 59.
CTDOT Project No. 0173-0540 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut Inc of New Britain, CT on February 23, 2024, for $18,861,960.00 with an official start date of April 1, 2024. The project is expected to be completed in December 2024. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be daytime lane closures on Route 15 weekdays Monday through Wednesday from Exit 56 to 59 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
