UPDATED: Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 19 in Stafford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 19 in Stafford from the connector to Hydeville Road to the Massachusetts’s state line. The project DOT01710506CN “G” consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.02-mile segment of Route 19 in Stafford from the connector to Hydeville Road to the Massachusetts State Line. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading, Inc. on Tuesday May 21, 2024, to Wednesday May 29, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, July 23, to Friday, July 26, 2024, and return on Monday, August 5 to Thursday, August 15, 2024., by All States Construction Inc.

This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 19 in Stafford from the connector to Hydeville Road to the Massachusetts’s state line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is Tuesday, May 21 to Thursday, August 15, 2024, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
