The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT is announcing that the installation of asphaltic plug joints on various bridges on Route 15 southbound in Wallingford. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, September 9 and be completed on Monday, October 7, 2024. The project DOT01730506CN consists of installing asphaltic plug joints on Bridge No. 00791, 0793B, 0795 and 00434 on Route 15 southbound in Wallingford.
This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Application.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 15 southbound from 0.25 miles before the Exit 66 off-ramp to just past the Exit 64 off-ramp in Wallingford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
