The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a safety improvement project will be performed on I-95 Northbound and Southbound in Waterford.
The project consists of installing guide rail on I-95, Northbound and Southbound, in Waterford. The project is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 3, 2023, through Friday, June 16, 2023.
Work will end at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2023, and will resume at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, due to the Good Friday holiday and work will end at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023, and will resume at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, due to the Memorial Day holiday.
This work is being performed by Total Fence. The vendor shall supply the Call-Before-You-Dig number for this location.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect right-lane and shoulder closures on I-95, Northbound and Southbound, between Exit 84 and Exit 75 in Waterford. One (1) state trooper, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
