Rehabilitation of Bridge Nos. 03532 & 00107 on I-95 Northbound Exit 27A to Route 8 Northbound
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing nighttime lane closures between Exits 24 and 28 for milling, paving and installation of bridge joints at I-95 Northbound Exit 27A between 7 PM and 5 AM Sunday through Friday in the month of October 2023.
Construction will require the night closure of I-95 Northbound Exit 27A ramp starting Sunday October 1, 2023 and detour traffic starting at 11:00 PM and concluding at 5:00 AM the following day. DOT Project No. 0015-0382 was awarded to Rotha Contracting Company of Avon, CT on December 7, 2021 for $8,924,453.30 with an official start date of April 1, 2022. The project is expected to be complete in December 2023. This project is being administered by the Office of Construction – District 3, New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE and DETOUR INFO
Traffic will be detoured to I-95 Exit 28. Turn left from the off ramp and follow signs to I-95 SB on ramp. On I-95 SB take Exit 27 to Route 8 NB on ramp. Detour signs will be in place.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized when needed to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and seek alternate routes.
