The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 37 New Fairfield from the South Junction of Route 39 to the Sherman Town Line and on Service Road 850 from the New York State Line to Route 37.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.59-mile segment of Route 37 New Fairfield and a 0.18 mile segment of Service road 850 New Fairfield. The milling of this project is scheduled to start on Monday, June 26, 2023 and be completed Friday, July 7, 2023. The resurfacing of this project is scheduled to start on Thursday, July 13, 2023 and be completed on Monday, July 31, 2023.
No work will be performed on the day before or after the July 4 Holiday.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Motorists can expect delays and one-lane alternating traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).
