The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a milling and resurfacing project that will be performed on Service Route 614 (Allyn Street) in Groton. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.36-mile segment of Service Route 614 (Allyn Street) in Groton. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Wednesday, June 28 through Thursday, July 6, 2023. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, July 10 through Monday, July 17, 2023.
No work will be performed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, due to the Independence Day holiday.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Service Route 614 (Allyn Street) from Route 1 (New London Road) to the end of the I-95 overpass (Jewish War Veterans Memorial Highway) in Groton. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
