Milling and Resurfacing Project: Routes 6 and 72 in Thomaston and Plymouth
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Routes 6 and 72 in Thomaston/Plymouth from Route 222 to the Bristol Town Line starting on Sunday, August 27 through Tuesday, September 26, 2023. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.38-mile segment of Route 6 and 72 in Thomaston and Plymouth. The milling of this project is scheduled to start on Sunday, August 27 and be completed Sunday, September 10, 2023. The resurfacing of this project is scheduled to start on Sunday, September 10 and be completed on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday - Thursday.
