Milling and Resurfacing Project: I-95 Southbound Branford Exit 56 to Exit 54 onramps and offramps
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed between October 1 and October 16, 2023 that will require the closure of onramps and offramps from Exit 56 exit 54 in Branford.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.48 miles of Off and On Ramps Exit 56 to Exit 54 in the Town of Branford. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, October 1, 2023 through Monday October 16, 2023. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, October 1, 2023 through Friday, October 6, 2023. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 through Monday, October 16, 2023.
No work will be performed from 6:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023, until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 due to the Columbus Day Holiday.
This project is an addition to the Department of Transportation’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect Right Lane closure and off and on Ramp closures to occur between exit 56 off ramp and exit 54 off ramp. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday night through Saturday morning)
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
