The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Interstate 395 Southbound in Norwich.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.20-mile segment of I-395 Southbound in Norwich, including Exit 18 on-ramps and off-ramps. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Sunday, June 11, 2023, through Wednesday, June 14, 2023. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, through Friday, June 30, 2023.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2023 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane, ramp and shoulder closures to occur on I-395 southbound from 0.04 mile south of the Lawler Lane underpass to 0.03 mile south of the Exit 18 off ramp to Route 97 in Norwich. One (1) state trooper, crash attenuator vehicles, variable message board, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
