The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the start of Pavement Preservation Work on I-95 between Exits 50 and 54 Northbound and Exits 54 and 48 Southbound in New Haven, East Haven and Branford. This work will commence April 3, 2023.
This project is part of the 2022 Pavement Preservation Program to replace the existing wearing surface and extend the serviceability of the pavement structure on I-95. The project includes Fine Milling, Bituminous Concrete Patching, Joint and Crack Filling, placement of PMA S0.5 and the installation of Epoxy Pavement Markings. The bridge joints at four bridges within the project limits will be replaced.
DOT Project No. 0092-0692 was awarded to American Industries Inc. at a cost of $11,300,000.00 on August 24, 2022 and is scheduled to be completed on October 20, 2023. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorist can expect lane closures on Interstate 95 between Exit 50 & Exit 54 Northbound and Exit 54 & Exit 48, Southbound during the hours of 6:00 PM and 6:00AM Monday through Friday and on Saturday and Sunday between 3:00PM and 9:00AM. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
