Lane Shifts/Ramp Closures on I 95 Northbound in Groton Stonington and North Stonington
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing there will be temporary lane shifts and ramp closures along I-95 Northbound between Exits 91 and 92 during the month of September 2023. Temporary lane shifts and ramp closures will be utilized to accommodate reconstruction of the right shoulder. Message boards will be utilized when lane shifts and ramp closures approach.
CTDOT Project No. 0058-0340 was awarded to American Industries, Inc. at a cost of $38,250,000.00 on January 21, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed November 20, 2024. This project is administered by CTDOT Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect a right shoulder closure along I-95 Northbound between Exits 91 and 92. Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
