The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that 16 intersection signals will be receiving major rehabilitation during the upcoming construction season. These intersections are in the towns of East Hampton, Groton, Lisbon, Mansfield, North Stonington, Old Lyme, Pomfret, Deep River, Stonington, Thompson, and Westbrook. The project consists of the complete removal and replacement of 14 intersection signals from span pole type to rigid mast arm. In Pomfret the overhead signals will be replaced on new span poles. Additionally, a new intersection will be installed in the Westbrook location.
DOT Project No. 0172-0496 was awarded to Ducci Electrical Contractors, Inc. at a cost of $5,428,000.00 on November 25, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed November 1, 2024. This project is administered by the CTDOT Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.

There will be intermittent alternating one-way road closures along the corridors of the intersections listed below. Closures will take place between the hours of 9 a.m. -3 p.m. from June 1, 2023 to November 1, 2024.
