The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge hanger and conduit removal operation will require the closure of the left lane northbound and southbound on Interstate 95 at between exits 19 and 20 at the Mill Hill Road overpass in Fairfield.
The night work is scheduled to occur the night of Monday, February 27, 2023, through the morning of Friday, March 17, 2023.
The bridge hanger and conduit removal operation will be performed by United Illuminating’s contractor Bond Civil and Utility Construction.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect Left Lane closures to occur on I-95 northbound and southbound in Fairfield. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. I-95 Northbound and 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on I-95 Southbound (Monday night through Friday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
