The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 8 north and southbound in Shelton from the evening of Wednesday, August 16 to the morning of Thursday, September 14, 2023.
The project consists of asphaltic joint installations to Route 8 north and southbound in Shelton.
The work is included in the CTDOT’s 2023 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Applications.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 northbound and southbound in Shelton between Exit 14 (Howe Ave.) and Exit 15 (Main St.). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday evenings through Thursday mornings.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
