Bridge Maintenance: Asphaltic Plug Joint Installation on Interstate 95 North and Southbound in New Haven.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Interstate 95 north and southbound in New Haven starting on Tuesday, September 5 through Friday, September 22, 2023.
The work is included in CTDOT’s 2023 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Applications.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 95 northbound in New Haven between Exit 47 (Long Warf Drive) and Exit 48 (northbound Exit to Route 34 westbound). Interstate 95 southbound in New Haven between Exit 1 (Interstate 91 southbound entrance ramp) to Exit 46 (Sargent Drive). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday evenings through Friday mornings.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
