The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the rehabilitation of Bridge No. 00230 carrying Willard Avenue over Interstate 95 will begin April 1, 2022.
This project involves substructure repairs, existing bridge superstructure demolition, bridge deck replacement, fence and metal beam rail replacement, and various other improvements.
DOT Project No. 0154-0125 was awarded to Arborio Corporation of Cromwell, Conn. at a cost of $3,729,340.50 on March 7, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed in November 2022. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.

Traffic may be impacted on I-95 and Willard Avenue, Monday through Sunday.
A full road closure is anticipated to take place for a maximum duration of 70 consecutive days between the months of June and September 2022 while schools are not in session. Additional information will be posted in the future.
