CTDOT is announcing that a tree and vegetation removal project will be performed on Interstate 95 northbound and southbound in East Lyme and Old Lyme.
The project consists of tree and vegetation removal on I-95 from Exit 75 in East Lyme to Exit 70 in Old Lyme. The project is scheduled to begin on Sunday evening, November 13, 2022 through Wednesday morning, November 23, 2022.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect right-lane and shoulder closures on I-95 southbound, from Exit 75 (Route 1 – mile point 88.04) in East Lyme to Exit 70 (Route 1 – mile point 79.93) in Old Lyme and then I-95, northbound from Exit 70 in Old Lyme to Exit 75 in East Lyme. Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Sunday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
