The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that the start of construction for Traffic Control Signal Led Relamping in various towns in Southwestern Connecticut will begin on November 12, 2022.
Project 173-512 will replace existing LED lamps with new LED lamps at State-owned traffic signals on various State highways. The life expectancy of the existing LED lamps is approximately 8 years; this project will proactively replace lamps in order to keep traffic signals functioning in a state of good repair. The new LED lamps to be installed under this project have a life expectancy of approximately 15 years.
DOT Project No. 173-512 was awarded to L. Holzner Electric Company at a cost of $1,172,621.00 on September 29, 2022 and is scheduled to be completed July 19, 2023. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.
