The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a safety improvement project will be performed on Interstate 395 Northbound and Southbound at Exits 13A, 13B and 13 and Route 2 Northbound and Southbound at Exits 28N and 28S in Norwich. This area is known as the “clover leaf”.
The project consists of installing RB Mash guide rail on I-395 Northbound & Southbound at Exits 13A, 13B and 13 and Route 2 Northbound & Southbound at Exits 28N and 28S in Norwich. This project is scheduled to begin on Sunday, March 27, 2022, *through Friday, May 20, 2022. This work is being performed by the PGP Group, dba Atlas Companies. The vendor shall supply the Call-Before-You-Dig number for this location.

Motorists can expect temporary ramp closures to occur on I-395 Northbound & Southbound at Exits 13A, 13B and 13 and Route 2 Northbound & Southbound at Exits 28N and 28S in Norwich. The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Sunday – Friday). Crash attenuator vehicles, overhead message sign boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
