The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a Safety Improvement Project will be performed on I-95 Northbound and Southbound from the Gold Star Memorial Bridge to Route 117 at Exit 88 in Groton.
The project consists of installing LED highway illumination on I-95 northbound and southbound from the Gold Star Memorial Bridge to Route 117 at Exit 88 in Groton. The installation of LED highway illumination is scheduled for Saturday, June 11, June 18, and June 25, 2022, and Saturday, July 9, July 16, and July 23, 2022.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect temporary lane closures to occur on I-95 northbound and southbound from the Gold Star Memorial Bridge to Route 117 at Exit 88 in Groton. The work schedule for this project is Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crash attenuator vehicles, overhead message sign boards and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
