10/12/2022

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that nighttime closures of Exit and Entrance ramps will occur during milling and paving operations scheduled to begin the week of October 17, 2022 and continue through the end of November.

Project 0102-0296 involves the implementation of various safety improvements along Route 15 from Exit 37 (Route 124/South Avenue) to Exit 40B (Main Avenue).  During the upcoming stage, the existing roadway will be milled full width, patched, and repaved. As milling and paving operations progress within the right lane, it will be necessary to close an exit or entrance ramp from or to the Parkway while equipment passes.

Ramps that will be affected include the northbound and southbound off and on at Exit 38 and 40A, the northbound off ramps at Exits 39A, 39B, and the southbound on at Exit 39A and 39B. Only one ramp will be closed at a time. During any ramp closure a signed detour will be in place to guide motorist to the original destination. Message boards will also be in place on the Parkway providing information at least one exit in advance of the closure.

DOT Project No. 0102-0296 was awarded to Yonkers Contracting Company, Inc. at a cost of $55,711,300.00 on April 13, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed October 31, 2024. This project is administered by the Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.
