The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that the replacement of a railroad crossing will be performed on a portion of Route 6 at Clark Street in Bristol. Work will occur on Saturday, December 10, 2022 ending Tuesday, December 13, 2022 between 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect road closure on Route 6 in Bristol. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists around the work zone. Regular work schedule for this project is from Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday.
DETOUR INFO
Bristol to Terryville: Left on to Clark Avenue, right onto Route 72 Terryville Rd turns into South Riverside Avenue, back to Main Street Route 6.
Terryville to Bristol: Right onto South Riverside Avenue turns into Terryville Rd, left onto Clark Avenue, back to Route 6.
Trucks over 13’3” will be detoured onto Allen Street in Terryville to avoid the low clearance railroad bridge on Route 72 (South Riverside Avenue.)
