The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the start of punch list work to complete the three culvert rehabilitations under I-395 between Exits 13 and 18 on Interstate 395 in Norwich starting on April 18, 2022.
The project consists of relining the culvert flow line at Hammer Brook, slip-lining the culvert at Byron Brook, and replacing the culvert at an Unnamed Brook in the vicinity of the Canterbury Turnpike overpass. Each culvert runs underneath I-395 in Norwich.
DOT Project No. 0103-0266 was awarded to the John Rocchio Corporation at a cost of $2,457,618.61 on December 22, 2020, and the punch list work is scheduled to be complete by July 1, 2022. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.

Temporary shoulder closures will occur on/after April 18, 2022, at Hammer Brook (Exit 14 northbound on-ramp, Exit 14 southbound off-ramp), at Byron Brook (northbound and southbound), and at Unnamed Brook (northbound and southbound in the Vicinity of the Canterbury Turnpike overpass).
