The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and paving with bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 3 Northbound and Southbound, Bridge #3161, over Interstate 91 in Rocky Hill.
This project is scheduled to begin milling on Saturday, April 2, 2022. The paving and bridge repair is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 4, 2022 and continue through Friday, April 29, 2022. No work will be performed April 14 through April 18 due to the Good Friday and Easter Holidays.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Bridge Maintenance Program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Connecticut Sealcoating, LLC.

Motorists can expect traffic to be maintained through the job site. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to help guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the milling project is from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Saturday). The paving and bridge repair work is scheduled 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
