Milling and Resurfacing Route 66 in Columbia and Windham

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 66 in Columbia and Windham.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.99-mile segment of Route 66 in Columbia and Windham.  The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday, August 16, 2022 through Thursday, August 18, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, September 12, 2022

This project is included in the CTDOT 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 66 from the Route 6 eastbound intersection in Columbia to Route 32 in Windham. The regular work schedule for this project is Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. 

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
