The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 32 in New London and Waterford.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.88-mile segment of Route 32 in New London and Waterford. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Sunday, May 1, 2022, through Friday, May 27, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, May 22, 2022, through Thursday, June 30, 2022.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 32 from State Service Route 437 (Crystal Avenue) in New London to the Waterford/Montville Town Line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Sunday – Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
