The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 80 in East Haven.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.71 miles of Route 80 in East Haven. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022 through Wednesday June 15, 2022. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 through Friday, June 3, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, June 6, 2022 through Wednesday, June 15, 2022.
No work will be performed from 6 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2022, until 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, due to the Memorial Day Holiday.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 80 from New Haven Town Line to North Branford Town Line. The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
