The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 7 Northbound and Southbound from S/B End Accel Lane to Interstate 84 and from across S/B End Accel Lane to I-84.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.46-mile segment of Route 7 in Danbury. The milling of this project is scheduled to occur Sunday, June 26, 2022 and is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday July 12, 2022. The resurfacing of this project is scheduled to occur Sunday, July 10, 2022 and is scheduled to be completed Monday, July 25, 2022.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 7 Northbound and Southbound between the S/B End Accel Lane to I-84 (SB) and from Across S/B End Accel Lane to I-84 (NB). The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
