The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 68 in Wallingford.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 3.85 miles of Route 68 in Wallingford. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, June 7, 2022 through Friday July 19, 2022. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 through Wednesday, June 29, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, June 20, 2022 through Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
No work will be performed from 6 a.m. Friday, July 1, 2022 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 due to the Independence Day holiday.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 68 from Old Church St. to N. Branford Road. The work schedule for this project is Monday – Friday from 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
