The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 6 in Brooklyn.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.47-mile segment of Route 6 in Brooklyn. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday, May 31, 2022, through Friday, June 10, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 26, 2022, through Saturday, July 9, 2022. No work will be performed on Friday, July 1, 2022, through Tuesday, July 9, 2022, due to the Independence Day (Fourth of July) holiday.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 6 from 0.06 miles west of the east junction of Brickyard Road to the end overpass at Quinebaug River in Brooklyn. The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Saturday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
