The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 136 in Westport and Fairfield.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.90 miles of Route 136 in Westport/Fairfield. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, July 11, 2022 through Tuesday July 26, 2022. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, July 11, 2022 through Friday, July 15, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, July 17, 2022 through Tuesday, July 26, 2022.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 136 from Bayberry Lane to Sport Hill Road. The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Friday 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
