Milling and Resurfacing on Route 12 in Plainfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 12 in Plainfield.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.22-mile segment of Route 12 in Plainfield.  The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, August 1, 2022 through Tuesday, August 9, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Thursday, August 18, 2022 through Thursday, September 1, 2022.

 

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 12 from the north junction of Route 14A (Academy Hill Road) to Route 205 (Wauregan Road) in Plainfield. The regular work schedule for this project is Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
