The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 101 in Pomfret and Killingly.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.17-mile segment of Route 101 in Pomfret and Killingly. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday, July 5, 2022 through Thursday, July 28, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, August 1, 2022 through Saturday, August 27, 2022.
This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 101 from Route 44 (Mashamoquet Road) in Pomfret to the west junction of Valley Road in Killingly. The milling work schedule is from July 5 through July 28 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The paving work schedule is from August 1 through August 12 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional paving work will occur from August 22 through August 27 from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
