The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 66 e/w from JCT I691 to 0.11 mi w/o end divided highway, ramps included, in Meriden/Middlefield.
The project DOT01710479CN “E” consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.32-mile segment of Route 66 e/w from JCT I691 to 0.11 mi w/o end divided hwy. (Ramps included) in Meriden/Middlefield. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Tilcon Inc. on Sunday, July 17, 2022, to Thursday, July 28, 2022. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Monday, August 1, 2022, to Sunday, August 19, 2022 by Tilcon Inc.
This project is included in the District 1, Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 66 e/w from JCT I691 to 0.11 mi w/o end divided highway. (Ramps included) in Meriden/Middlefield. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
