The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a mill and fill project will be performed on Interstate 91 Northbound from 75’ NO NB-END OP Park River to 80’ SO NB-up I-91 TR840 in Hartford.
The project DOT01710467CN “K” consists of milling and resurfacing 0.59-mile segment of I-91 Northbound from 75’ NO NB-END OP Park River to 80’ SO NB-up I-91 TR840. in Hartford. This project is scheduled to begin milling and filling by Waters Construction on Sunday, June 19, 2022, to Thursday, June 30, 2022.
This project is included in the District 1, Department of Transportation’s 2022 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-91 from 75’ NO NB-END OP Park River to 80’ SO NB-up I-91 TR840 in Hartford. The regular work schedule for this project is Sunday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorist can expect detours listed below:
- I-91 Northbound from the Whitehead Highway will be detoured onto I-91 Southbound to Exit 26, Marsh Street and will be guided to turn around and enter I-91 Northbound.
- I-91 Northbound for Exit 32 A/B will be detoured further north to Exit 33, Jennings Road and guided to turn around and enter I-91 Southbound to access Exits 32 A/B heading South.
- I-91 Northbound from Grove Street will be guided south on Columbus Boulevard to the Whitehead Highway in which they can access I-91 Northbound
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
