The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing additional hours of work for High Friction Surface Treatments on State Roads in Various Towns, starting September 26, 2022.
This project consists of pavement resurfacing, High Friction Surface Treatment (HFST) application, and pavement marking work in Central Connecticut. The work will consist of the mill and overlay of inadequate pavement, application of HFST, and the removal/installation of pavement markings at horizontal curves on State-owned and maintained roads.
DOT Project No. 0171-0469 was awarded to Empire Paving Inc. of North Haven, CT at a cost of $2,210,876.43 on December 29, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed on October 21, 2022. This project is administered by the Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures at any hour on the following roadways: U.S. Route 6 (Bristol), 31 (Coventry), 68 (Cheshire), 69 (Bristol), 74 (Ellington), 140 (East Windsor), 191 (East Windsor), 192 (Enfield), 197 (Union), 322 (Wolcott), 533 (Vernon/Bolton), and 534 (Manchester).
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 30 (South Windsor) between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m.
