Guiderail upgrades, Route 71A & 372 in New Britain, Route 372 in Berlin, Route 176 in Newington and Route 17 in Middletown
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 71A & 372 in New Britain, Route 372 in Berlin, Route 176 in Newington and Route 17 in Middletown.
The project consists of upgrading guiderail on Route 71A & 372 in New Britain, Route 372 in Berlin, Route 176 in Newington and Route 17 in Middletown. This work is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 12, 2022, to Thursday, September 29, 2022.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 71A & 372 in New Britain, Route 372 in Berlin, Route 176 in Newington, and Route 17 in Middletown. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for installing this guiderail is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Atlas Fence will be starting Monday, September 12.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
