Emergency Concrete Header Repair on Route 8 Northbound in Bridgeport
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a concrete repair project will be performed during the day on Bridge #3560 (North Ave.) on Route 8 Northbound in Bridgeport.
The project consists of concrete header repair on Route 8 Northbound in Bridgeport between Exit 1 (Prospect Street) and Exit 4 (Lindley Street). This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, December 4, 2022.
The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 bridge maintenance program to support State Forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by State Forces.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect right lane & center lane closures to occur on Route 8 Northbound between Exit 1 and Exit 4 in Bridgeport. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule might become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
