The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing construction work resulting in the closure of Route 109 (Lakeside Road) to facilitate a bridge replacement beginning July 11, 2022 and ending on July 25, 2022.
The project consists of replacement of Bridge No. 05417 with a 10’ x 8’ concrete box culvert, new footings and wingwalls, installation of metal beam rail, protective fence, and roadway reconstruction including excavation and paving around the culvert and new plantings.
DOT Project No. 0086-0092 was awarded to Dayton Construction Co. Inc., at a cost of $1,228,671.50 on December 14, 2021 and is scheduled to be completed on October 14, 2022. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 4 in Thomaston.
DETOUR INFO:
There will be a full road closure on Route 109 (Lakeside Road) beginning July 11, 2022 through July 25, 2022.
Traffic will be detoured onto Route 209, then onto Route 202, then onto Route 47, and finally back onto Route 109.
