Bridge Maintenance on Route 72 Eastbound under High Street in New Britain
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 72 in New Britain on Friday and Saturday 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
This project is to be begin Friday, September 16, 2022 to Saturday, October 1, 2022. Working Friday and Saturday nights only, bridge repairs will be completed by Special Breaks LLC.
This project is administered by the Department of Transportation’s 2022 bridge maintenance, District 1 in Hartford Bridge Department.
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect two lane closures on Route 72 Eastbound between exits 7 and 9 in New Britain. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. Night work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Friday nights and Saturday nights.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
