Bridge Maintenance on I-95 Northbound and Southbound in Stamford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Interstate 95 northbound and southbound in Stamford.

 

The project consists of Asphaltic Joint Plate Removal on the bridges over Greenwich Avenue (#00026) Washington Boulevard (#00027), Atlantic Street (#00028), Canal Street (#00029), Elm Street (#00031), Maple Avenue (#00033), and Lockwood Avenue (#00034).

 

This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Sunday, September 25, 2022 to the morning of Friday, September 30, 2022.

 

The work is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2022 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by State Forces.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 northbound and southbound between the Exit 6 and Exit 9 off-ramps in Stamford.

 

The work schedule for this project is Sunday through Friday between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
