Motorist Advisory – Scheduled Two-Month Closure of I-84 Eastbound Exit 52 Off-Ramp to I-91 Southbound in Hartford from April 12, 2021, Through June 6, 2021

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the scheduled two-month closure and detour of I-84 eastbound off-ramp Exit 52 to I-91 southbound in Hartford, from April 12, 2021, through June 6, 2021. The closure and detour are necessary to facilitate construction activities for the rehabilitation of Bridge 01686B in Hartford.

Motorists wishing to access I-91 southbound via I-84 eastbound Exit 52 will be detoured to:

  • I-84 eastbound Exit 55 to Route 2
  • Route 2 eastbound Exit 5D to Route 3
  • Route 3 Exit to I-91 southbound

DOT Project No. 0063-0654 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc. at a cost of $5,289,773.40 on January 14, 2021, and is scheduled to be completed on October 22, 2021.
