The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a tree and vegetation removal project will be performed on I-395 southbound in Griswold, Lisbon, and Norwich. The work is scheduled to occur Thursday, January 14, 2021, through Friday, February 19, 2021.
No work will be performed on:
- Monday, January 18, 2021, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Friday, February 12, 2021, Lincoln’s Birthday
- Monday, February 15, 2021, Washington’s Birthday
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect a right lane and shoulder closure on I-395 southbound from Exit 24 in Griswold, through Lisbon to Exit 18 in Norwich. Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).
Motorists are advised to remain alert, drive cautiously and to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.
